Privacy Policy

Your purchases → Apple, and our own service that checks the receipt

Apple sees it when you subscribe, restore, renew or cancel. Our service sees the signed receipt with each photo read or link import, checks your plan, and forgets it.

• How far the first run went — welcome, trial offer, guide, home, a first plan, a first recipe — each once, never which recipe
• Your iOS version, device model and store country
• An approximate location — the country or region Google infers from the connection, never GPS
• A random ID for this install — never an advertising ID

Only while the switch in Settings is on. It is on by default and turns off in one tap. Each first-run step is sent once per install, with at most the page it ended on or which trial button was tapped. No other screen or tap is reported, no recipe is ever named, and no advertising identifier is ever read — the part of Firebase that could read one is not in this app.

• Your name, your email, your Apple ID
• What you cook, plan or eat — never which recipe, never what is in a plan; only that a step was reached
• Your price book — your receipts are your habits, and they stay here
• Your journal, and every figure computed from it
• Your photo library — only the one image you pick, one at a time
• Any advertising identifier. There are no ads, and no tracking.

• Reminders — your shopping list, copied into a list called Mealtide. Nothing is read back.

It is yours to switch on, and it writes into Apple’s own app on this device. It never goes through us.

Mealtide is rated 4+ and asks for no personal information from anyone, at any age. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no messaging and no advertising.

Your plan, pantry, journal and price book live on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. If you started a household, its shared week lives in your own iCloud account — leave the household in Settings, or delete the Mealtide data from iCloud settings on your device. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete. The daily photo-read counter on our service is keyed to a random install ID, holds no content, and expires on its own each day.
